St Edward’s Church aims to be ‘a church where everyone is welcome’. As we all, as individuals and communities, emerge through the steps of lockdown, our eyes will be focused on the outstretched arms of Jesus on the cross, the ultimate sign of God’s love. As we look at Him, and He at us, I am delighted that we shall be extending you a warm (and safe) welcome back into church:

  • for private prayer or to light a candle

  • for daily and Sunday Services

  • for Baptisms, Weddings, and, yes, for funerals.

Recent months have tested us all, some to the greatest depths imaginable. I want to stress that our church and ministry is available to you. Wherever you are on your personal journey, I hope that we can be of help through friendship, prayer, the sacraments, listening, resourcing or signposting.

Please watch this web-site for forthcoming services and events. Meanwhile, if you are seeking more specific help, why not take a look at the following links?

For those who may be seeking spiritual resources to pray and think about the virus from a Christian perspective, you may find the material at the link here helpful.

I very much look forward to meeting you and becoming part of St Edward’s community, ‘a church where everyone is welcome’.

Good wishes & prayers,

Fr David Simpson
